About

My name is Haley Noelle Cummings, and I’m a freelance media producer.

I graduated from Waubonsee Community College with an associate degree in Mass Communication. I interned in the Educational Television department at Waubonsee for a year. This included producing two television shows for the college that aired on educational access channels, covering campus events and carrying out various duties throughout the production process.

I continued my education at Aurora University, earning a bachelor degree in Communication and Media Arts with minors in Psychology and Film Studies. During my time at the university, I worked for the Spartan Media organization where I hosted my own radio show for a year, directed the first live recording of a theater production in nearly a decade, wrote articles for the university’s online paper, and was the producer for the university’s cultural programming. I co-created the pop culture program ‘ScreenPlay’ which continues to be filmed by students in current classes.

I have worked as an Assistant Youth Instructor at Waubonsee Community College since 2012. The main class I’ve been a part of includes teaching children, ages 7-14, the media production process from pre to post.

As a freelance media producer, I work in partnership with E Leal Productions. This has included media coverage of events for the American Cancer Society, promotional video and individual creative works. I am also the company’s social media manager.
